Organic vegetable farm "Eicēni"

  • Organic vegetable farm "Eicēni" is located in the central part of Vidzeme and produces fresh and healthy vegetables. They were the first to offer "vegetable baskets" in direct selling chains, and they continue this practice today. They are active members of Slow Food Straupe. One of their passions is maintaining old varieties; they are one of two farms in Latvia producing seeds of the local swede variety Ābolu Dzeltenie, which is included in the Slow Food Ark of Taste list.

Farm "Pīlādži" and winery "Zilver"

  • The "Zilver" beverage factory and farm "Pīlādži" is a family company. The factory started operating in 2009, but its origins date back to the early '90s, when farm "Pīlādži" grew not only fruit trees and berries but also established apple and pear orchards. Thanks to a large apple crop in 2009, the farm began considering fruit and berry processing, adding a third branch alongside the plant nursery and orchard, turning berries and fruits into wine.
