‘Aroma’

‘Aroma’ is an apple cultivar obtained in Sweden, Alnarp. At present it is the most widely planted apple in Scandinavia, valued for its aromatic, tasty fruits. The cultivar has good tolerance to scab and canker. Unluckily the fruits suffer from rot in storage, and for this reason the variety is not popular with Latvian growers. The cultivar has a clone with brighter coloured fruits called ‘Amorosa’.
