‘Paide Talioun’

Paide Talioun

This is one of the oldest Estonian apple cultivars, known already 1859, but gaining attention only 80 years later. In Latvia it was introduced after 2nd World War and usually is called ‘Paides Ziemas’. The variety is winter-hardy and has tasty fruits, but in warmer regions of Latvia it is an autumn apple with short storage. The tree is hardy and tolerant to diseases, but is a slow bearer. The fruits are easily distinguished by their very long stalks.
