‘Paide Talioun’

This is one of the oldest Estonian apple cultivars, known already 1859, but gaining attention only 80 years later. In Latvia it was introduced after 2^nd World War and usually is called ‘Paides Ziemas’. The variety is winter-hardy and has tasty fruits, but in warmer regions of Latvia it is an autumn apple with short storage. The tree is hardy and tolerant to diseases, but is a slow bearer. The fruits are easily distinguished by their very long stalks.
