Fruit and berry purees and pureed juices
In 2011, together with SIA “Latekofood”, recipes were developed for fruit and berry purees and pureed juices for infants, known under the brand “Rūdolfs”.
In 2014, we made the TOP 10 scientific achievements list together with the Food Technologies Department of the Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies (LLU PTF).
From 2011 to 2013, together with SIA “Latekofood”, recipes were developed for fruit and berry purees and pureed juices for infants, known under the brand “Rūdolfs”.
Through our research, we selected fruit and vegetable varieties grown in Latvia with a high content of biologically active substances that were suitable for the manufacture of these products. One innovation was the inclusion of sea buckthorn in recipes – no company had done this before.
The product range was expanded at the LLU PTF, developing purees with meat, fish and milk as added ingredients, as well as a new product line – desserts.
The scientific research and practical work of the Institute of Horticulture and the LLU PTF provides a solution for the economic development of biological farms, creating a new segment in food manufacturing. This work has received high recognition and was included among the TOP 10 scientific achievements of 2014
