International cooperation in the research and conservation of Prunus genetic resources

The Institute of Horticulture in cooperation with 15 partners from 13 European countries participated in the implementation of the ECPGR Activity Grant Scheme project “Testing, Use and Alignment of genetic data to distinguish unique and characterized accessions in Prunus” (PrunusAlignment). 
 
 

The aim of the project was to develop and implement a unified system for describing the genetic resources of Prunus crops, to synchronize data, and include the corresponding accessions in AEGIS and Eurisco.

During the project, its members have prepared and published two joint scientific publications, a report was presented at an international conference.
