During the event, a meeting of the ISA (Interantional sea buckthorn association) board was held, at which new Board members were elected. Scientists from Finland, Mongolia and China joined the board. D. Segliņa, a leading researcher at the Institute of Horticulture, and A. Brūvelis, head of the Latvian Sea buckthorn association, continue their work on the Board for the next five years.

Within the framework of the conference, topics that are important for manufacturers were discussed. Particular attention was paid to sea buckthorn diseases, pests and cultivation technologies.
