The campaign "In Bloom 2025" invites you to explore the most magnificent collection gardens across Latvia.

For the third consecutive year, eight of Latvia’s largest and most beautiful collection gardens and parks - located in Riga, Salaspils, Kalsnava, Raiskums, Lēdurga, Babīte, Dobele, and Rundāle - invite you to take part in the “In Bloom” campaign. This initiative encourages visitors to embark on a seasonal journey through the gardens, discovering the charm and diversity of flowers in full bloom.
Participants will have the opportunity to discover the beauty and diversity of flowering plants across some of the country’s most unique green spaces.
This year’s participants include:
The Lilac Garden of the Institute of Horticulture
The private collection of Guna and Jānis Rukšāns
The National Botanic Garden of Latvia
Lēdurga Dendrological Park
The Botanical Garden of the University of Latvia and its Rhododendron Nursery
The Latvian State Forests Arboretum in Kalsnava
Rundāle Palace Garden
These gardens and parks, developed over decades or even centuries, blend traditional plant collection practices with modern tourism approaches. Their blooming collections include both beloved heritage varieties and rare, lesser-known species. Each garden holds unique stories behind its flowering plants and trees, which visitors are invited to explore and enjoy. From crocuses, azaleas, rhododendrons, and magnolias to lilacs, peonies, dahlias, roses, and tropical plants - this is just a glimpse of the floral abundance waiting to be discovered.
Campaign Launch:
The “In Bloom 2025” campaign will officially launch on March 6 at the Botanical Garden of the University of Latvia (Kandavas iela 2, Rīga). All are welcome to enjoy a spring atmosphere, meet garden representatives, and participate in creative workshops. Visitors will also have the chance to collect their first campaign stamp while admiring the garden’s spectacular azalea collection.
Campaign duration: March 6 – October 30, 2025
How to participate:
Anyone interested can join by collecting an “In Bloom” campaign card at the entrance or information point of any participating garden.
Each time a garden is visited, a stamp is added to the card.
There is no set order for visiting the gardens - participants may plan their route freely.
Prizes and Draw:
To enter the prize draw for special gifts prepared by the gardens, participants must visit at least four of the eight participating gardens.
The completed card must be submitted at the last garden visited or at its information point by October 30, 2025.
