Horticultural Institute’s Experience at the International “Garden Style” Conference in Vilnius

From 23rd to 25th August, the Horticultural Institute’s agronomist Linda Grāvīte took part in the 10th international conference and masterclass “Garden Style” in Vilnius. The event brought together landscape design and horticulture professionals to exchange experience on modern, science-based solutions for establishing plantings.
A special highlight of the conference was the masterclass led by renowned Estonian landscape designer Evely Ustav. The session focused on the principles of creating perennial flower and ornamental grass beds, as well as ways to make gardens not only aesthetically pleasing but also sustainable and enjoyable for visitors all year round.
Linda also used this opportunity to introduce colleagues from other countries to the Horticultural Institute’s garden and its offerings for leisure and education, thus promoting the institute’s work in an international setting.
The business trip was carried out within the framework of the project “Integrated System for the Interactive Development of Public Gardens in the Baltic Sea Region (INTERACTIVE GARDENS)” (No. C036).
